Link 4 Tutor Terms and Conditions
Effective 19 September 2026
These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Link 4 Tutor Limited. They apply to our online tutoring, digital learning content and related services. Your order confirmation sets out the package, price, payment schedule and any fixed term you selected.
Please read these terms before purchasing. Nothing in them affects your statutory consumer rights.
1 Our services
We provide online tuition, digital learning content and related support. We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee particular examination results, grades or academic outcomes, as these depend on factors outside our control, including the student’s attendance and effort.
We may update our content, platform or teaching arrangements where reasonably necessary. If a usual teacher is unavailable, we may provide a suitably qualified substitute or rearrange the lesson.
2 Accounts and access
Family subscriptions are for one household unless we agree otherwise in writing. Schools and organisations must use an appropriate account arranged with us.
You must provide accurate information, keep login and payment details secure, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised use at booking@link4tutor.com. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from our failure to use reasonable care.
You must not share access outside your household, copy or redistribute content, misuse the platform, or interfere with its security or operation.
3 Packages prices and payment
The package, fees and payment frequency shown during sign-up and in your order confirmation apply to your subscription. Prices include VAT where applicable.
Our standard package includes at least four lessons per month, paid by Direct Debit or card. Additional lessons are normally sold in top-up blocks of 10 at your current lesson rate, unless we agree otherwise. When a block has been used, a new block is required for further lessons.
You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided. If payment is declined, reversed or overdue, we may suspend lessons and platform access after giving reasonable notice. You are responsible for your own internet, equipment and telecommunications charges.
If we make a genuine pricing error, we may cancel the affected order and refund sums paid, or offer the service at the correct price. You may reject the corrected price and receive a full refund for any service not supplied.
4 Lessons attendance and rearrangements
Your teacher reserves the agreed time for your child. Lessons therefore cannot normally be rearranged, refunded or carried forward if the student does not attend.
In exceptional circumstances, such as illness, we may agree to rearrange a lesson if you give at least 24 hours’ notice. This is discretionary and subject to availability. A rearranged lesson may be taught by another Link 4 Tutor teacher.
Where a package includes a set number of lessons each month, unused lessons expire at the end of that month unless we agree otherwise in writing. We may, at our discretion, vary lesson timing for holidays or other exceptional circumstances.
You must provide a suitable device, stable internet connection, appropriate study materials and a safe learning environment. A parent or responsible adult remains responsible for the child’s supervision, behaviour and online safety outside the teacher’s reasonable control.
5 Subscription term and renewal
Your subscription starts when we accept your order. Its initial term is shown in your order confirmation.
A monthly rolling subscription continues until cancelled. A fixed-term subscription continues for the agreed term and, if the order confirmation says it will renew, renews for the period stated there unless cancelled before renewal. We will provide any renewal notices required by law.
We may change the price for a future renewal or a monthly rolling subscription by giving at least 14 days’ notice. You may cancel before the new price takes effect. We will not change the price already agreed for a fixed term unless the contract expressly permits it or you agree.
6 Cancellation and refunds
To cancel, email booking@link4tutor.com with the account holder’s name, email address and customer or registration number, if available.
You may cancel a monthly rolling subscription before its next payment date. Cancellation of a fixed-term subscription normally takes effect at the end of its current term, unless your order confirmation gives you an earlier right or the law requires otherwise. Fees already due are not refundable except where these terms or the law say they are.
If you buy online or by telephone, you will normally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period. If you ask us to begin tutoring during that period and then cancel, we may charge a proportionate amount for services already supplied. Digital content may be made available during the cancellation period only where you have expressly agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged when this causes the right to cancel that content to be lost. These rules do not limit rights arising where services or digital content are faulty or not as described.
7 Special courses
The content, lesson frequency, price and end date for an 11+ or GCSE course will be shown in the relevant offer or order confirmation. Where an 11+ course returns to a standard package after the examination, or a GCSE course ends after the examination, this will be made clear before purchase. The order confirmation takes priority over any general course description in these terms.
8 Privacy and communications
We use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may send service messages needed to administer your account, payments and lessons. We send marketing communications only where permitted by law, and you can opt out of marketing at any time. Opting out of marketing will not stop essential service messages.
9 Intellectual property
The platform, teaching materials and other content belong to Link 4 Tutor Limited or its licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use them for the student’s private educational use during the subscription. You must not reproduce, publish, sell, share or commercially exploit them without written permission.
10 Availability and events outside our control
We aim to keep our services available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including failures of third-party networks or services. We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and, where appropriate, offer a substitute lesson or other reasonable remedy.
11 Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, loss caused by your breach, or business losses arising from services purchased for personal use.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
12 Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, misuse the service, share an account without permission, or fail to pay. Where the breach can be remedied, we will normally give you a reasonable opportunity to do so. We may also end a service we can no longer provide, in which case we will refund prepaid fees for services not supplied.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, regulatory, security or operational reasons. Changes will not reduce rights already accrued. Where a change materially affects an ongoing subscription, we will give reasonable advance notice and explain any right to cancel.
14 General
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. You may not transfer your contract without our agreement; we may transfer ours only where this does not reduce your rights.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, but you retain any mandatory protections of the country in which you live. You may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law.
